Job description
Responsibilities
As an IT Application Owner, you are responsible end-to-end for managing applications. You will also participate in functional analyses, particularly for enhancements to these applications, either in collaboration with external suppliers or with the outsourcing partner for in-house developments.
You are the expert for your applications (along with your colleagues) and provide advice to your IT colleagues and business stakeholders.
- Advise and discuss with business process owners and IT management the necessary evolutions to develop and realize the vision related to the application portfolio, create a support base, and actively bridge the gap between IT and the business end product.
- Create the work backlog, set priorities according to the strategic roadmap, and direct the execution of changes based on these priorities in collaboration with the business process owner.
- Coordinate the execution of changes during sprints and releases.
- Manage and monitor applications end-to-end, continuously strive to ensure optimal functionality, application availability, lifecycle, and integration with other applications.
- Serve as the first point of contact for business process owners and IT staff, and involve functional analysts with in-depth application knowledge when necessary.
- Maintain contacts regarding new versions and updates with the suppliers involved in your portfolio.
- Handle and track incidents, problems, and service requests.
- Analyze, coordinate with developers, and test enhancements (limited modifications to applications).
- Document the provided solutions.
- Perform regression testing.
- Support the operational publications of long-term train planning.
Criteria
Competencies
- Master's degree or equivalent through experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role (functional or technical analyst, developer, etc.) and within a support team.
- Experience in supporting software packages.
- Good knowledge as a user of software packages, including MS Office, Confluence, Jira, etc.
- Experience with databases is an advantage (SQL, Oracle)
- Basic knowledge of ITIL is required, extensive experience is a plus.
- Proactive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and practical approach, organized.
